Learn the Art of Flintknapping

An introduction to the techniques and materials California Indian peoples used to create sharp tools such as arrowheads and knives. In this hands-on workshop you will learn flintknapping basics with an emphasis on safety. Take home whatever you make. Bring a pair of leather work gloves, and the Museum will provide materials, tools, and safety glasses. Taught by Robin Bliss Wagner and Little Bear (Apache). Class fees: $15 Museum members & volunteers; $20 non-Museum members. Beginning flintknapping tool kits will also be available for purchase for $25.
