The Museum is delighted to host the monthly Writers Read program in January, February, and March. At the January 31 event, the featured poet is Kirk Lumpkin. In addition to poetry and spoken word, Lumpkin is a performance artist, lyricist, singer, and environmental activist. His poetry was most recently published in the anthology Fire and Rain: Ecopoetry of California. He is a California state certified naturalist and, in his current writing, he explores the voices of other beings and natural entities. Lumpkin will read at 7:00 PM with an open mic to follow at 8:00. Suggested donation is $5. Refreshments provided. For additional information, please contact Michael Riedell at innisfree@pacific.net.
