The public is invited to the Grace Hudson Museum to share poems and songs in this annual celebration of Tonantzin, the Nahautl name for Mother Goddess — also known as the Our Lady of Guadalupe following the Spanish colonization of Mesoamerica. This event also serves as an early celebration for the Winter Solstice. Read and sing original work or the work of others, in English or Spanish. Participants are also invited to bring food for sharing: from crackers, cheese, and snacks, to hearty savory dishes, to sweet treats, wine and other beverages.
Presented by Bill Churchill, Theresa Whitehill, Writers Read, and the Grace Hudson Museum.
