Writers Read: Ukiah's Literary Salon

  • Grace Hudson Museum & Sun House 431 South Main Street Ukiah, CA 95482 USA (map)

THIS FEBRUARY IT’S ON LEAP DAY!

Writers Read will have two featured readers this month, Jessyca Lytle and Brenda Yeager, both joining us from Lake County. Lytle embraces a naturalist's perspective while regularly diving deep into the human experience via philosophical explorations. Currently, she is in the midst of working on two separate works of poetry slated to be published soon. Yeager’s work has been published online in Noyo Review and The Bloom and in various print group chapbooks. Currently, she is in the process of her first full-length poetry manuscript and is also deep into the second draft of a memoir about refuge. Writers Read has been happening in Ukiah since 1999, and occurs on the last Thursday of almost every month. The program focuses on poetry, spoken word, short stories, song, and expository prose. Lytle and Yeager’s readings will be followed by an hour of open mic starting around 8:00.
