Spend a part of your March First Friday Art Walk at the Grace Hudson Museum. We are delighted to welcome Paul Steward, an award-winning singer and musician hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area. His music fuses Blues, R&B, Pop, and Native American sounds — a tribute to his Elem Pomo tribal roots. Also, this will be our initial First Friday since the opening of Momím Wené: Medicine Water, our latest exhibition. The show features the artwork of 30 California Native artists reflecting on the significance of water in their various tribal cultures. This includes a few Valley Pomo artists.
You’ll also be able to spend time discovering or getting reacquainted with our core galleries, featuring Grace Hudson’s artwork, exquisite Pomo basketry, and Carpenter-Hudson family history. Also enjoy an evening walk in our Wild Gardens as the days are getting longer — and our gardens docent, Ziggy, will be available for tours. Light refreshments will be available.
First Fridays at the Grace Hudson Museum are always free all day and evening.
