Learn about the Pepperwood Tree — also known as California Bay Laurel — and how it was and is used by Pomo peoples. Then, make peppernut balls, a traditional Pomo treat that prepared properly tastes and functions like coffee and chocolate. Sherrie Smith-Ferri (Dry Creek Pomo) will lead this workshop where participants will have a chance to make both traditional-style and gourmet varieties. This program is included with Museum admission.
At this time the workshop is full. If you would like to have your name put on a waiting list, call (707) 467-2836 or email ghminsta@gmail.com.
