This month, Writers Read will be doing something a little different. The program will focus on the publication of Heavy Lifting, the outcome of a collaboration between artist/printer Felicia Rice of Moving Parts Press in Mendocino and Ukiah poet Theresa Whitehill. The evening will include presentation of a short experimental film, a brief talk by Felicia, and a reading of poetry from the project by Theresa in a round-robin format, alternating poems from the book with poems or brief statements from the audience. There is no admission fee for Writers Read but donations are gratefully accepted.
