Writers Read: Ukiah's Literary Salong

  • Grace Hudson Museum & Sun House 431 South Main Street Ukiah, CA 95482 USA (map)

This month, Writers Read will be doing something a little different. The program will focus on the publication of Heavy Lifting, the outcome of a collaboration between artist/printer Felicia Rice of Moving Parts Press in Mendocino and Ukiah poet Theresa Whitehill. The evening will include presentation of a short experimental film, a brief talk by Felicia, and a reading of poetry from the project by Theresa in a round-robin format, alternating poems from the book with poems or brief statements from the audience. For those who want to explore the themes of the project ahead of time, so they can choose relevant writings to read during the round robin-style open mic, click HEAVY LIFTING.

There is no admission fee for Writers Read but donations are gratefully accepted.
