At the Mendocino County Museum
The Mendocino County Museum recently opened a new exhibition titled, Behind the Redwood Curtain: Cannabis in California. We encourage you to check it out. In this accompanying program — Richard Spills the Tea — Richard Jergenson, Founder of the Cannabis Counterculture Museum and Archive, heads a panel of leaders in the cannabis industry who will explore the past, present, and future of cannabis in the Golden State. Richard will be joined by Genine Coleman of the Origins Council; Casey O’Neill, an organic farmer and third generation homesteader; Wendy Read, herbalist, biochemist, and author; and moderator Ann Waters
The Grace Hudson Museum had hoped to include a section on cannabis in Mendocino County in our own current exhibition, Deep Valley: People, Places, Memory, but we simply ran out of time and space. We enthusiastically encourage you to make the drive to Willits to see Behind the Redwood Curtain and to enjoy the panel discussion.
The Mendocino County Museum is located at 400 E Commercial Street in Willits. The program is free, though donations for admission would be gratefully welcome.
