First Friday at the Grace Hudson Museum

  • Grace Hudson Museum & Sun House 431 South Main Street Ukiah, CA 95482 USA (map)

Come spend a part of your November First Friday Art Walk at the Grace Hudson Museum. Check out our latest exhibition, Deep Valley: People, Places, Memory, which explores many elements of the Greater Ukiah Valley — past and present — that have helped create and shape this community. It’s also our way of commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Grace Hudson Museum and the 150th anniversary of the City of Ukiah, The show takes a look at places and associations such as Todd Grove Park, the Palace Hotel, Mendocino State Hospital, Pinoleville Rancheria; the Latino Americano Concilio; and, of course, the history and evolution of the historic Sun House and the Grace Hudson Museum.

Our musical guest will be Fair Wind, showcasing a mix of soft rock, folk, ballad, jazz, and originals, with a sound once described as rooted in the styles of Crosby, Stills and Nash, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Cat Stevens, and Emmy Lou Harris. You can also spend some time discovering or getting reacquainted with our core galleries, featuring Grace Hudson’s artwork, exquisite Pomo basketry, and Carpenter-Hudson family history. Refreshments will be available.

First Fridays at the Grace Hudson Museum are always free all day and evening.
